Additional important information is provided below to help you become familiar with the process and ensure you place your order correctly.

To order a watch strap, you need to know

three key measurements

  • Lug Width: This is the distance between the two lugs on your watch case where the strap attaches.
  • Strap Length: A watch strap consists of two parts; a shorter piece and a longer piece. Knowing the correct length for both ensures a comfortable fit.
  • Buckle Width: The buckle connects the two strap pieces and secures the watch on your wrist. Selecting the right buckle or deployant size is essential for proper attachment.

Lug Width

  • Lug width is the distance between the two lugs of the watch. This measurement is crucial because it determines the size of the strap that will properly fit your watch.
  • Watch lug widths typically range from 16mm to 24mm, depending on the model. Accurately measuring the lug width is essential to selecting a compatible strap.
  • To measure the lug width, you can use a ruler or digital caliper, placing it between the inner edges of the lugs where the strap attaches.

How to Measure Strap Length

To find the correct strap length, start by measuring your wrist circumference with a flexible measuring tape. Alternatively, you can use the measurements of a watch strap that fits you comfortably as a reference when selecting your size.

Watch straps generally come in three standard lengths, designed for average watch faces between 35mm and 42mm:

For Pin Buckle or Spring Deployant:

  • Small: 105mm (long side) / 70mm (short side)
  • Standard/Medium: 115mm (long side) / 75mm (short side)
  • Large: 120mm (long side) / 80mm (short side)

For Deployant Clasp:

  • Small: 95mm (long side) / 85mm (short side)
  • Standard/Medium: 100mm (long side) / 90mm (short side)
  • Large: 105mm (long side) / 95mm (short side)

Use the following guide to choose the appropriate strap length based on your wrist size:

  • Wrist size 14.5 – 16.5 cm: Small
  • Wrist size 16.5 – 18.5 cm: Medium
  • Wrist size 18.5 – 21.5 cm: Large

CUT TO SIZE GUIDE

1. Install the strap onto your watch: Attach both sides of the strap as you normally would.

2. Place the watch on your wrist: Wrap it around your wrist and identify the line on the strap that aligns with the center of your wrist for your ideal fit.

3. Mark your cut point: Cut after the line that aligns with your center point.

Recommendation: Always cut one line past your chosen mark first and test the fit. If it feels too loose, trim further. Once cut too short, there’s no going back and no refunds will be issued.

4. Repeat on the other side: Make sure both strap ends are trimmed evenly and cleanly.

5. Fit the straps into the deployant clasp: Your deployant offers two slot options for a snug or looser fit.

Pro tip: Place the deployant’s logo side at the 12 o’clock position so the logo faces you when worn.

6. Enjoy your new cut to size strap: Perfectly sized for your wrist, made to fit just right…
